MONDAY – Let us begin our five day French Festival with Simone de Beauvoir.

Simone de Beauvoir broke free from social chains and marched to the ‘beat of her own drum’. A writer, political activist, feminist, Simone’s intellect and passion made her more than a match for her male counterparts. She had a relationship with prominent the literary critic and philosopher,  Jean-Paul Sartre.
