So, you are at the library. Have you ever stopped and really noticed your librarian? What did they have to do to become a librarian? Just apply for the role? Librarians must meet certain requirements and complete a degree.
With the increasing use of technology both in the classroom and at home, this has had some impact on libraries around the world and the role of the librarian. Much of this technology has assisted librarians. The introduction of computers and specific software has been a great step forward to maintain records and keep up to date.
However, the growing trend toward eBooks, for example, means our libraries need to make sure they offer these formats.
We still love going to the library and searching for that special book, especially with our children. Children love books and always will.
