It’s only a few more days until Mother’s Day and in schools around the world, teachers and students are most likely talking about their own mother’s, their plans for the day, making gifts and learning about mothers who showed great courage and leadership. This year, as you focus on amazing mothers, why don’t you do something different in the classroom? Take a journey with us and meet Queen Victoria. This is a unique and amazing way for students and teachers to interact whilst learning. Our unique way of sharing these stories will engage every student and leave them wanting more.
At the age of 18, Queen Victoria came to the throne. Over the course of her reign her popularity grew, as she continued to show strength and courage, surviving seven attempts that were made on her life. She used her influence to support peace and reconciliation. Queen Victoria, a mother of nine was also known as the Empress of India, for her strong support of the Empire. She is the longest reigning royal in British history. This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the life of this strong, amazing mother and leader.
