Remembrance Day or Poppy Day is the memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries since the end of World War I, to recognise the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.
Many thousands of people lost fathers, sons, brothers, friends in the first and second world wars….and yet wars still rage on today with sadly ever more lives lost, soldiers and civilians alike.
At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year, The Amazing People Club remembers the bravery of those who fell, and those who continue to fight and fall.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
